Azerbaijan Charkh Niloufari Institute of Higher Education, one of the members of the network of virtual universities of the Islamic world, was elected as the executive chairman of the International Union of Caucasus Region Universities. According to the public relations report of the network of virtual universities of the Islamic world, Dr. Karim Najafi Barzegar, the secretary general of the network of virtual universities of the Islamic world, sent a video message to the meeting of the International Union of Universities of the Caucasus region, while congratulating on the success and appreciating the valuable actions of the Charkh Nilufari Institute of Higher Education of Azerbaijan, headed by Dr. Kamran. Pashaei Fakhri emphasized the all-round readiness of this international organization to strengthen academic cooperation and develop scientific and technological diplomacy with the universities of the Caucasus region. The Caucasus Association of Prestigious Universities consists of more than 170 universities from 16 countries in the region, of which Azerbaijan's Charkh Nilofari Institute of Higher Education has become an official member since 2013 as the first non-governmental higher education institution of Iran. This institution is also a special representative of the network of virtual universities of the Islamic world in this important and strategic region due to its extensive connections with universities in the Caucasus and Eurasia.
